Chapter 8

Dark clouds began to cover the suns and thunder and lightning filled the sky.  Cold winds began
to blow.  Vegeta crawled to a rock and sat himself up.  He winced and his breathing became
laboured.  “This is it...” he thought.  He heard Bulma groan and she got up.

“Are you okay?  Thanks for saving me,” Bulma said as she ran to him.  Bulma kneeled beside
Vegeta.  Vegeta’s hands were covering his heart and they were all bloody, Bulma noticed.  “Let
me take a look at your chest,” she said.

“I’m fine, it’s just a scratch,” Vegeta managed to say, despite the pain he’s in.

“Vegeta,” Bulma said.

“Yes?”

“It’s going to bug me forever if I don’t tell you this...” Bulma started, blushing.

“I also have something to tell you too...” Vegeta interrupted and winced.

Both took a deep breath and said “I love you” at the same time.

“Surprised?” Vegeta asked.

“Yes.”

“You wanted a prince didn’t you?  Here I am, Vegeta, Prince of Saiyans.”  Vegeta winced and
dropped his hands on his lap.  More blood came from Vegeta’s wound.

“Huh?  Vegeta... that’s no scratch...” Bulma gasped as tears began to form in her eyes.  She
snuggled closer to Vegeta and hugged him.  “You told me it was just a scratch,” she sobbed, her
eyes were now flooded with tears.  “What the?”  Vegeta seem to be dissappearing, he was
phasing to the next dimension.

“Wish me back with the Dragon Balls, okay?” Vegeta winced and smirked.

“No, Veeegggeeeettttaaa, don’t leave me,” Bulma sobbed as she hugged him tighter.

“Don’t worry about me,” he said as he brought his hand up and wiped her tears away.

“No, you can’t die,” Bulma sobbed some more.  Cold rain poured from the sky, soaking both of
them.  “Vegeta,” Bulma gasped as he finally phased to the next dimension.  All was left was the
bandages she gave him after his fight with Zarbon.  Bulma picked it up and rubbed it against her
face.  “Vegeta...”
