Chapter 6
It was in the evening and Vegeta’s stomach growled in hunger. “Oh shut up!” he cursed himself. “What am I thinking, I used to be fine with Nappa’s cooking, but still...” Vegeta has gotten used to Earth cooking so much that he got lazy with hunting. “What am I going to do? I’m starving,” he said out loud. Bulma heard him from the hall, heading to the kitchen and chuckled sinisterly.
“I don’t care what happens to you, carrot head! Go suffer to hell,” she thought. When Bulma got down to the kitchen, she turned to the fridge and saw there was no food. “Oh well, I can always order pizza,” she thought and turned to the wall and picked up the phone.
“Okay, I want a small pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, cheese, and pepper,” she ordered and putted the phone down. “Tee hee, let’s see how the smell of the pizza would do to him,” she thought mischievously. After fifteen minutes, a man delivered the pizza and Bulma walked to the kitchen and opened the box of pizza so Vegeta would smell it.
“Yum!” she said out loud. “Let’s see how long it would take him. One, two, three, four, five,” she counted and Vegeta stormed in the kitchen, his mouth was watering. There were just two pieces left and Bulma closed the box as Vegeta reached for them. He growled as Bulma left the kitchen, laughing to herself.

Bulma sat under a tree outside in the garden, both hands were on her face, crying. She curled herself into a tight ball and felt the wind sweep against her.
“I thought she would be happy that she won that one. Why is she crying?” Vegeta thought, watching Bulma from the other end of the garden. “I can’t take this anymore!” he thought as he clenched his fist, referring to his guilt of making Bulma cry. He crept towards her and Bulma didn’t notice until he putted his hand on her shoulder.
“Go away!” she scolded but instead, Vegeta sat beside her.
“Look,” he started. “I’m sorry for being such a jerk lately and I’m also sorry for slamming the door on your face this afternoon,” he added. She turned to him and he wiped the tears off her face. Bulma smiled and Vegeta smirked in return, although he tried to smile.
“It’s okay, I forgive you,” Bulma said as she moved closer to Vegeta and rested her head on his shoulder. Vegeta took out a wooden flute of some sort and started playing a soft, lovely melody.

“Do you want to go out tonight?” Bulma asked Vegeta who was eating his supper in the kitchen with her.
“Okay,” he replied, shoving another spoon of food in his mouth.
The two finally finished, got dressed and met back in the kitchen.
“Looking good,” Bulma complimented. “Where do you want to go tonight? Movies? A walk in the park?”
“I have a better idea,” Vegeta suggested and they went outside.
“Where are we going?”
Vegeta lifted Bulma up. “We’re flying.” Bulma wrapped her hands around Vegeta’s neck as he took off. They flew for minutes until they were out of the city. After a few minutes of flying, Vegeta landed on an island and putted Bulma down. The island was small, far from civilization and there was a lake in the middle. It was in the middle of the sea where the wind blew gently against them. Bulma wondered around the island, thinking why Vegeta brought her here.
“Maybe Chi Chi was right, maybe he does like me. Why bring me in a romantic island?” she thought in excitement.
“I found this island after I got wished back,” Vegeta said gently.
“Wow, this place is nice,” Bulma complimented.
“I’m glad you like it.” Vegeta went closer to Bulma. Bulma sat on the ground and looked at the stars above them. Vegeta sat down beside her.
“See that bright star? Well, it’s not really a star, it’s Venus. Between that planet and where your moon used to be was where Vegeta was,” he said, pointing where Vegeta would’ve been if Freeza didn’t destroy it.
“Vegeta, back on Namek,” Bulma said, changing the subject.
“Yes?”
“Were you really going to kill me if Krillen didn’t hand the Dragon Ball over?” She looked at Vegeta’s face and it started to blush.
“Well, no. What kind of stupid question is that? You wouldn’t be here if I meant that,” he snorted.
“Oh,” she said in disappointment.
“Wait, I’m sorry, it’s just that, I...” he stammered. Bulma turned to him and looked him in the eyes.
“...You love me?” she finished. Without having second thoughts, Vegeta slanted his face to Bulma’s, giving her a soft, passionate kiss. “I’ll take this as a yes,” she thought, as she kissed him back.
They finally broke up after a few minutes of kissing (which was like three) and Bulma moved closer to Vegeta and sat on his lap. She rested her head on his chest and Vegeta hugged her, both watching the stars above them.
