Chapter 5

Bulma and her grandma, Jean, were at the back of the house. Bulma was swimming around the
lake while Jean was grilling some burgers. “Having fun Bulma?” Jean asked.

“Yeah,” Bulma answered. “I haven’t had a good swim since Vegeta dropped me on that lake
back at Namek when we got attacked by the Ginyu Force. Yeah... that time when we kissed
underwater... man, I miss him so much. Ugh, I don’t feel right, he’s like a missing part of me,”
she told herself sadly.

“Bulma?”

“Yes grandma?”

“The burgers are ready.”

“Okay.” Bulma swam back to the shore and putted on a robe. She sat down on the picnic mat
with her grandma. Jean started eating but Bulma just stared at her food, as if she didn’t have the
energy to eat.

“What’s wrong Bulma?”

“I don’t feel like eating...”

“It’s him isn’t? You can’t get him out of your mind.”

“Yes. Grandma, I loved him so much and I miss him. I don’t see why daddy doesn’t like him.”

“I heard some pretty bad things about him from your father but I won’t judge a person until I get
to know him myself. Say what? Go eat your burger and then we’ll try phoning him.”

“Really?”

“Hey, your dad said you can’t see him but he didn’t say you can’t talk to him over the phone.”

“Thanks granny,” Bulma laughed and hugged her grandma.

Meanwhile:

“Where is that address?!!!” Vegeta demanded at Chichi

“Yeesh, wait. Uh, here you go,” Chichi answered, handing a piece of paper with Jean’s address
written on it. “Remember, Bulma is staying way out in the country.” Vegeta quickly putted the
piece of paper in his pocket and ran out of the house. “Humph, how rude! He didn’t even say
thanks,” Chichi growled to herself as Vegeta left.

Evening soon came and Bulma and her grandma were back inside from swimming. “Grandma, I’ll
phone Vegeta now,” Bulma told Jean, who was cooking supper.

“Okay dear. Supper is ready in twenty minutes,” Jean answered back while chopping vegetables
on a counter.

Bulma took the phone and headed to her room. She dialled Chichi’s number and waited for the
phone to ring but she only got a busy signal.

“Man, who could be using their phone?!” she asked herself angrily. She got up from her bed and
paced around the room. “I don’t believe this, how am I suppose to contact Vegeta now?!!!” She
then felt a gust of wind from her window. She walked up to it and looked at the star-filled sky.
She closed it and laid back on her bed, sighing to herself. “Whoever said love conquers all sure
was wrong. Humph, it looks like there’s no hope for me,” she sighed and then gasped as she
heard a knock on her window. She got up from her bed and ran to it and opened it. She found
Vegeta levitating and smirking at her. Vegeta entered the room and hugged his one and only,
Bulma hugged him back. “Vegeta, what a surprise this is,” she said nervously.

Vegeta putted his finger on her mouth and kissed her right away. Bulma didn’t hesitate to kiss
him back and penetrated his mouth with her tongue to meet his. They held the kiss for minutes,
holding it as long as they could as if they won’t kiss each other again. Bulma could feel her heart
melt as he deepened their kiss. “Wow, this guy can sure kiss,” she giggled mentally. Vegeta
finally broke it after ten minutes and collapsed on the bed. “Whoa what happened to him?” Bulma
asked herself as she putted her hand on his forehead. “Hmm, looks like he has a fever.”
