Chapter 20
The sun began to rise slowly to the sky from mountains. The whole sky was filled with bright colours; orange, red, and yellow. Vegeta was outside early in the morning, sparring with himself.
“Don’t worry Arbok, once we get that Dr. Gero, we’ll be back with Bulma and Trunks,” Vegeta grunted while performing punches and kicks.
“Char,” Arbok hissed happily.
“Why up so early?” Cloud called out from his capsule house.
“Just sparring with myself,” Vegeta replied.
Cloud approached him and watched him perform punches, kicks, and back flips. “So, why are you still with us?”
“Like I said before, none of your business.”
“Oh I get it now,” Cloud laughed and cleared his throat. “Ahem. No one kidnaps the Saiyan Prince’s family and gets away with it,” Cloud said, mimicking Vegeta’s voice. “Is that why you’re still with us?”
“Hey, how’s the kid doing? Is he still sleeping?” Vegeta asked, changing the subject.
“He’s still sleeping, he’s pretty quiet. He won’t say anything unless you ask him something.”
“Give him time.”
“Hey, look at the sky, the sun rise. It looks so nice.”
“Yeah, too bad it can’t stay like that forever.”
“Hmmm, we better wake everyone up so we can get going.”
“Yeah, let’s go.” Vegeta stopped performing his moves and went back to the capsule houses with Cloud.
Cloud woke up Chunli and Rick while Vegeta woke up Dennis and Vincent and then he went to Brass’ capsule house. He went to the bedroom and found that he wasn’t there. He went outside and concentrated, trying to pick up his ki. He finally sensed it and followed it. He found Brass sitting on a rock under a water fall with Vaporeon.
“Hey! We’re eating now and then we’re leaving!” Vegeta called out from the shore. Brass stood up and jumped to the shore. “Come on, let’s go,” Vegeta said and they went back to their camping ground. When they got there, everyone was eating around where the bonfire used to burn the other night. They sat down and were handed a plate of food.

After they ate, Vegeta minimized the houses back into capsules and they continued to walk. “How much farther to the base Cloud?” Dennis asked while walking.
“We should be there before it gets dark,” Cloud replied, looking at the map he held on his hands.
“Hmm. Brass, didn’t the android that survived the battle back at Gongaga say that he’ll be back with more androids?” Chunli asked.
“Yeah, I wonder what happened to him now,” Brass answered.
“Heads up!” Rick cried as they were covered with shadows. They looked up and saw #15 with three more androids, #16, #17, and #18.
“Oh, how touching... you remembered me,” #15 said sarcastically. “See these three? They’re a lot stronger than me so prepare to die,” he chuckled while levitating to the ground.
“Humph,” Brass scoffed and charged at the androids.
“Wait kid!” Cloud cried but Brass just ignored him. “Oh man, why is he so stubborn?!!”
The four fired beams at the young ninja as they saw him charging at them. “Psychic Shield,” Brass whispered to himself and he was now inside a purple sphere. The beams that were fired at him were just nullified by the barrier.
“Stupid barrier,” #17 growled and they fired stronger beams at the ninja. Brass was pinned down, all he could do was just stand still and wait until the androids stopped firing. But they didn’t.
“Arrgghh. The barrier will be depleted any moment now, I must do something,” he grunted. He jumped high in the air and the barrier that protected him disappeared. The androids continued to fire at him and he dodged their attacks gracefully in the air.
#16 closed his eye and aimed carefully for the ninja while the other three continued their attacks. He fired at him and his beam pierced his left arm. Brass fell to the ground like a dead duck as he was hit. He got up and saw more beams coming at him.
“This is it...” he thought, closing his eyes, expecting death. He felt a gust of wind and when he opened his eyes, he found himself on Cloud’s arms.
“Don’t ever attack by yourself, understand?” Cloud scolded and let go of him.
Brass just glared at him and noticed that his arms were wounded. “Uh, sorry...” Brass whispered. He turned around and found Vegeta taking on #15 and #16. Chunli and Rick were taking on #18 while Vincent and Dennis were fighting #17. “Wow, he’s pretty much doing okay against the two,” he thought while watching Vegeta fight. Vegeta flew to the air and fired a Big Bang at his opponents. “What an impressive attack, it’s a lot stronger than my All Creation.” Brass turned to Cloud and found him being tended by Arbok and Vaporeon and raced over to him. “We have to get out of here,” he said.
“You’re right. Your arm doesn’t look good,” Cloud winced.
“Yours aren’t doing any better either.”
“Okay, but how do we get out?”
“Leave that to me. Hey Vaporeon, Blizzard now!”
“Vapor,” Vaporeon nodded. Vaporeon closed his eyes and howled. He was then surrounded with a blue aura and snow began to fall out of the sky quickly.
“What is going on here?” #18 asked herself.
The snow was blowing so hard that everyone could barely see each other. “Over here! Let’s go!” Cloud cried. Vegeta and the others followed Cloud’s voice and got to him in no time. “I’m afraid we have to retreat,” he grunted.
“Don’t worry about it,” Rick said.
“Let’s go!” Vegeta cried and they ran away.
When the snow stopped blowing, the androids found that their enemies were gone. “Great! They got away!” #17 groaned.
“Don’t worry, I’ll find them,” #15 volunteered.
“Okay then, we’ll go back to Dr. Gero,” #18 said and they flew away.

Vegeta and company were sitting under the shades of trees in the forests. Everyone was quiet, they were just making eye contacts with each other. Brass cleared his throat and decided to speak.
“I’m sorry everyone, sorry for attacking like that. If it wasn’t for me, Cloud’s arms wouldn’t have been injured,” he said softly. “Oh yeah, thanks for saving me Cloud.”
“It’s okay kid, we’re all in this together,” Cloud smiled.
“You mean you were willing to risk your life... for me?”
“We’re comrades, we look out for one another,” Rick added.
“That still doesn’t fix yours arms.”
“Hey, maybe I can find some herbs here that can make your wounds better,” Dennis said and got up. “Vincent, want to come with me?”
“Okay,” Vincent nodded and the two walked away.
“Those two are inseparable aren’t they?” Chunli laughed.
“Yeah,” Cloud and Rick laughed back.
“Uh, guys...” Brass started to speak.
“Yes?” they all asked.
“I want to say thank you for all the things you’ve done for me.”
“No problem kid,” Cloud smiled.
“No, you don’t get it. What I mean is, aside from my ninja clan, no one has ever been so kind to me. When other people see me, they panic and run away since I’m a ninja.”
“Yeah, so what?” Vegeta snorted.
“Most people think that all ninjas are blood thirsty assassins that’s why. But you guys are different, you don’t mind what I am and I’m grateful for that.”
“Look, not all people are the same, there’s good and bad and that goes for ninjas too,” Rick explained.
“You’re right,” Brass sighed. Dennis and Vincent then arrived with some leaves.
“Here you go, all you have to do is rub it against your wounds,” Dennis instructed, handing the leaves over to Cloud and Brass.
“I guess we better keep moving,” Brass said.
“Are you sure that you’re well enough to walk?” Chunli asked.
“Yeah, it’s just a scratch on the arm.” They all got up and then heard a noise above them.
“What is that?!” Cloud panicked. They looked up and found #15 hovering around.
