Chapter 13
“I think I’m going to be sick,”
Bulma groaned as she saw a group of people laying on a puddle
of blood.
“Judging the way these guys are dressed, they must be
the generals,” Dennis said. He walked over to the dead bodies and
turned them around, their backs facing him. Their backs
were covered with shurikens. “Hmm, this is definitely a work of a
ninja,” he thought.
“Where is Dr. Gero though?” Rick
asked.
“He must have survived the attack,” Dennis answered.
“I bet he’s miles away from here.”
“Guys, someone is coming,”
Chunli cried. A fat looking, white android then appeared
out nowhere. “Where did he come from?”
“Hello, I’m an
android created by Dr. Gero. I have orders to terminate you since
you’re all obselete,” the android said.
“Everyone get out of
this place. I’ll take care of this tin can,” Vegeta told
everyone.
“But Vegeta...” Bulma whimpered.
“I SAID, I’ll
take care of it!” Vegeta growled.
“He’s right, you might get caught
in the middle of the fight,” Chunli added. “Come on, let’s go.”
She took Bulma’s and Trunks’ arms and led them to the elevator.
The others followed. Vegeta and the android were now left
alone.
***
Everyone has reached the first floor of the
base. They all paused for a minute, thinking if leaving Vegeta
alone with the android was a good idea. “I’m worried about him, I
think I better go and help him,” Dennis told everyone and ran to an
elevator.
“Wait!” Cloud called out and went after Dennis.
“I
think I better go too,” Rick said and went after both of
them.
“Char,” Arbok hissed and went after all of them. Chunli
was about to do the same but Vincent stopped her.
“I think it’s
best if we get these two out of here first,” Vincent
suggested.
***
The elevator that Arbok, Cloud, Dennis, and
Rick took was huge. It can probably support more than a hundred
people. The walls were made out of glass and they could see
everything outside.
“It sure is beautiful tonight,” Rick
thought, looking at the stars. His thoughts were then interrupted
as he heard Cloud yelling something.
“Look, there’s something big
on the other elevator,” Cloud yelled. There was a tank sort
of vehicle on it and it took out some machine guns, firing on the glass
walls of the other elevator.
“Ugh, most of the people here maybe
dead but apparently their toys aren’t,” Dennis said. He took out
his rose and turned it into a whip.
“Ultima!” Cloud yelled and
released a shining, green sphere of energy. The green energy
ball exploded into sparkling, green mist and it engulfed the
tank. “Damn!” Cloud cursed himself. The tank was left
standing without a scratch.
“My turn.” Rick cocked his wrist
mounted guns and aimed them at the tank. “Captain Fire!”
A blast of flame headed straight at the tank but the attack was
futile.
“Charbocka,” Arbok hissed, his tail pointing above.
Silver winged-humanoid robots were heading straight at
them.
“Can it get any worse?” Dennis groaned. “Okay, I’ll
take care of the tank and the rest of you take the flying tin
men.”
“All right.”
Cloud took out his sword and fired blade
beams at the robot while Arbok fired poison stings. Rick also kept
firing Captain Fire at the robots.
“Burn, baby, burn! Mwa ha
ha ha!” Rick chuckled maliciously as he got one.
“Rick watch
out!”
There was a robot diving straight at them. “Captain
Corridor!” Rick pounded on the floor and a blue energy blast
erupted to the air, blowing the robot up.
“Nice going,” Cloud
commented. Cloud tried the Ultima on the remaining robots and they
all exploded as the Ultima hit them. “How is your battle doing
Dennis?” he asked.
“Not so good, this tank is impenetrable,” Dennis
grunted after striking it with his whip. “But I bet its underside
is vulnerable like an armadillo's.”
“Leave that to me,” Cloud
said. Cloud spun his sword around in the air, creating a small
tornado. “Finishing Touch!” he yelled and fired it at the tank.
The tornado blew the tank upwards. Dennis quickly stroke at the
tank’s underside, cutting it in half and he stroke it again and again
until the tank was reduced to little pieces.
“What now?” Dennis
groaned as the elevator stopped moving.
“Great, we’re stuck here,”
Cloud sighed.
“I have an idea.” Dennis took out a seed and
threw it below. After a few minutes, a tree appeared beside the
elevator. “Come on, let’s catch up with the others. There’s
nothing we can do about Vegeta.” They jumped to the tree and
climbed down.
***
“Good, we’re safe at last,” Chunli panted
as they got out of the building.
“We’re not safe yet. Let’s
go to that hill top,” Vincent said. He took Trunks’ arm and
Chunli took Bulma’s and they ran to the hill. As they got there,
Arbok, Cloud, Dennis, and Rick were there too.
“Where is
Vegeta?” Bulma asked worriedly.
“Uh, we couldn’t get to him, the
elevators stopped working,” Dennis answered.
***
“Take this
you piece of metal crap,” Vegeta growled as he fired small beams at the
android. The android jumped away from his position, avoiding the
attack.
“He’s strong. I need more energy to defeat him,” the
android thought. He looked at his hand and grinned
sinisterly. “Humph, I’ll suck his energy. He he he he
he.” The android charged at Vegeta with a punch but Vegeta caught
his fist.
“You have to do better than that,” Vegeta chuckled,
squeezing the android’s fist. The android screamed in pain.
“Oh you can feel pain,” he said sarcastically. Vegeta powered up to
Super Saiyan and blasted the android across the room.
The
android got up and cackled. “You may have defeated me but I’ll make
sure that you won’t live either,” he said and started to
glow.
“Oh crap no,” Vegeta groaned.
***
“BOOM!”
The whole base exploded, the android has
self-destructed.
“VEGGGEEETTTTAAA!” Bulma yelled.
“Don’t
worry, I bet he got out,” Cloud said.
Everyone paused and remained
silent for minutes. Then, they heard a voice yelling from
above.
“Vegeta/Papa!” they all exclaimed.
“No one can get
rid of me that easily,” Vegeta chuckled.
“What happened back
there?” Dennis asked.
“Humph, I don’t care. I got my family
back and I’m taking them home,” Vegeta answered and threw a capsule on
the ground. The capsule turned into a small plane. Vegeta then
ushered Bulma, Trunks, and Arbok inside.
“Vegeta wait!
What about Dr. Gero? He’s still out there,” Cloud said, stopping
Vegeta from hopping on the plane.
“Out of my way! Who
cares about that mad scientist?!!! I’m taking MY family home and
make sure this doesn’t happen to them again!!!” Vegeta growled, pushing
Cloud out of the way and hopped on the plane.
“Let go of him
kid. He’s got what HE wants,” Vincent snorted. The capsule
plane began to power up, slowly rising from the ground and blasted to
the sky.
