Chapter 12
Vegeta slowly opened his eyes
and heard familiar gasps. He shook his head to assure himself
that he wasn’t dreaming. “Bulma? Trunks?” he gasped as he
saw their worried faces when he fully opened his
eyes.
“Vegeta/Papa!” Bulma and Trunks both cried happily and hugged
Vegeta.
“Vegeta... you’ve come for us,” Bulma sobbed, tightening
her grip.
“Papa I was so scared,” Trunks shuddered with tears in
his eyes.
“Don’t worry, I’m here and everything is going to be all
right,” Vegeta said softly. Trunks let go of his father and
joined Arbok, allowing Bulma to soak Vegeta’s shirt with her
tears.
“It was awful... they locked us up in this cell and said
they would kill us if you didn’t show up,” Bulma gasped between
sobs.
“Whoever did this to you shall pay, I promise.”
“Awww,
isn’t that sweet?” Chunli sniffed. She and the others were at the
other side of the room.
“Papa, do you know those people?” Trunks
asked.
“Yeah, who are they?” Bulma said, wiping her tears away and
let go of Vegeta.
“It’s a long story. Anyway, the girl is
Chunli, beside her is Captain Commando or Rick, the kid with the spiky
hair is Cloud, the guy in black is Vincent, and the guy in pink is
Dennis.” Vegeta was about to tell the story but a whirring sound
was heard. The ceiling opened and a monitor came out. The
monitor turned on and a familiar person appeared.
“Dr. Gero!” Bulma
exclaimed.
“Ah yes, so you still remember me,” Dr. Gero
said.
“Wait a sec, you sound like Dr. Itchigacki/Hojo/Bison’s
scientist!” Chunli, Cloud, Dennis, and Vincent exclaimed at same
time.
“Correct, let me explain. Let’s start with you Dennis,
Vincent. When your team defeated me in the Makai World’s
tournament, I fled to the human world to hide myself from you
Makai detectives. I worked for a company and changed my name to
Hojo. Unfortunately, I made new enemies, that’s you Cloud and
those meddling Avalanche. When we fought, I made it look like
I was killed since I know you won’t stop hunting me down until I’m
dead. Again, I disguised myself and worked for a criminal
organization, the Shadowloo. There, I helped my master erase the
memories of the fighters that were chosen to “join” our
organization. Unfortunately again, the organization was brought
down but lucky for me I got away. I needed a place to work and
to hide myself from the Makai world’s detectives and from the
Interpol. I heard that the Red Ribbon Army is back and I couldn’t
believe it. I thought it was gone for good when it was brought
down by that monkey boy, Gokou and his friends. The army took me
again and found a place to hide myself for awhile.”
“Well, you
need to hide again! Once I get out here, I’ll take you to Lord
Koenma and get you executed for turning innocent people into zombies!”
Vincent growled.
“No, he’s mine!” Chunli interjected.
“You
two leave him alone, he kidnapped my family so he’s mine. I’ll have
his head!” Vegeta butted in.
“Sorry, I have to go now and none
of you shall lay a hand on me,” Dr. Gero chuckled.
“Wait! Why
did you take us? What do you want? Money? Gold?” Bulma
asked but she was too late, the monitor screen went blank.
“So,
all of us are after the very same person,” Dennis sighed.
“Hmm,
Hojo. He created Sephiroth and Sephiroth killed Aeris and destroyed
my hometown... I’ll get him...” Cloud thought.
“How are we
going to get out of here?” Rick groaned.
“I don’t know...
let’s go back to sleep and maybe we can figure something out,” Chunli
yawned and snuggled close to Rick and they went to sleep. Bulma
and Trunks also snuggled close to Vegeta and went to sleep too and the
others as well.

“Brrr. It’s so cold,” Bulma
mumbled in her sleep, snuggling closer to Vegeta’s warm body.
“Why
is it so cold in here?” Cloud asked himself groggily and got up. He
found the floor covered with a thick mist. “Guys, wake up!” he
cried, waking everyone up.
“What is it?”
“Look,” he said,
pointing at the floor.
“This place gives me the creeps,” Trunks
whimpered, hugging Vegeta’s leg tightly.
“Humph, I have no
intention of staying here any longer,” Vincent growled and walked to
the door. He clenched his fist and punched the door. The
door cracked and broke to little pieces like a glass. “What the
heck?!! This door was frozen solid!” Vincent stepped outside
and found the hall covered with ice, the whole place was frozen
solid. “You better take a look here,” he told everyone.
“I
wonder what happened now? This is getting really creepy,” Cloud
shuddered.
“We better get out of here,” Rick suggested.
“No,
we’re not going anywhere until we find Dr. Itchigaki or whatever he calls
himself now. We’re here, this is our chance to finish this army off
and get our hands on that mad man,” Dennis interjected.
“Yeah,
let’s go!” Chunli agreed.
“One question, where could we find him
and the other head members of this army?” Cloud asked.
“I think I
know,” Vegeta answered. “Come on, I’ll lead the way.” Vegeta
led them to an elevator. “We’re going to the highest
floor.”
They got there in a few moments and they stepped out of the
elevator as soon as the door opened.
“I think I’m going to be
sick,” Bulma groaned as they saw a group of people laying on a puddle
of blood.
