Chapter 8
They turned around and saw a guy
and a girl standing on a rock. They had their arms crossed
and
were leaning against each other.
“Prepare for trouble!” the
girl started.
“And make it double!” the guy continued.
“To
protect the world from devastation.”
“To unite all peoples within
our nation.”
“To denounce the evil of truth and love.”
“To
extend our reach to the stars
above.”
“Jessie.”
“James.”
“Team Rocket blast off at
the speed of light!”
“Surrender now or prepare to
fight!”
“That’s right!” they both finished.
“Say what?”
Cloud said.
“Who are you clowns?” Chunli asked.
“Jessie,
they don’t know us,” James whispered to his partner.
“Well then, we
introduce ourselves,” Jessie whispered back. “We’re Team Rocket and
we’re here
to rob you, so hand your money over or anything valuable,”
she ordered.
“You’re not robbing anyone,” Vegeta growled and
blasted them to the sky.
“It looks like Team Rocket is blasting
off!” Jessie and James yelled and faded out of the sky.
“That takes
care of them,” Vegeta chuckled.
“Yeah, come on guys, let’s go,”
Chunli said.
“Look, there’s no guards, this is creepy,” Cloud
whispered to his comrades, pointing at the main
gate.
“Probably
a trap,” Rick replied. With that, they headed to the main gate
silently and slowly.
“Still no sign of them,” Vegeta thought and
opened the gate and ran to the base entrance.
“A door that is wide
open, this is major weird,” Chunli shuddered.
“Quit complaining and
let’s just go in,” Vegeta snapped. They entered the building and it
was still
empty.
“Say, I got an idea. Why won’t we find
the information center here and maybe we can find out
where the main
base is,” Chunli said while walking in the empty halls.
“I wonder
if The Turks are here,” Cloud thought and looked at Rick, his eyes were on
Chunli.
Rick noticed that Cloud was looking at him and he knew that
Cloud knew that he was staring at
Chunli. He quickly took away
his eyes from Chunli and putted on a serious look on his
face.
“Look, that might be it,” Chunli cried as she saw a room
filled with computers. They entered the
room and Chunli grabbed
her own computer and so did Cloud. Vegeta and Arbok joined
Cloud
while Rick joined Chunli. “Let’s see, access main base,”
Chunli whispered, typing words on the
key board. “All right, the
computer will show the information in a few minutes,” she
cried
happily.
“Guys, I think you better take a look at this,”
Cloud called out from the other end of the lab.
“Whoa, you have to
be kidding,” Rick gasped after taking a look on Cloud’s
computer.
“What is it?” Chunli asked.
“Look, they’re making
robots and they’re planting bombs in them. I don’t even recognize
those
bombs,” Rick answered.
“Char,” Arbok hissed at Vegeta, his
tail was pointing at the door.
“Someone is coming right?” Vegeta
asked Arbok.
“Charbocka,” Arbok nodded.
“Guys, someone is
coming,” Vegeta told his other comrades. “Get ready.” Cloud
drew out his
sword while Rick prepared his wrist mounted guns.
Two familiar people entered the room.
“It’s you guys,” Chunli
cried.
“What are you doing here?” Vincent asked coldly. After
that “conversation” sirens began to
blare.
“I think they’ve
spotted us,” Dennis told his friend.
“No, they probably spotted
these klutzes,” Vincent snorted.
“Who are you calling a klutz?”
Vegeta growled.
“Look guys, we better get out of here,” Dennis
interjected, knowing Vincent will answer back
and keep it
going.
“They’ll spot us if we get out as a group...” Vegeta
started.
“What we?” Vincent said.
“Knock it off Vincent,
let’s go with them. We don’t stand a chance against an army if we
get
spotted.”
“All right.”
“Good. Cloud, you go
with these two. Chunli, you can go with Rick and I’ll go with
Arbok,”
Vegeta ordered.
“Who died to make you the leader?”
Chunli asked sarcastically.
“Let’s just go,” Rick groaned and took
Chunli’s arm and exited the room.
“Good luck,” Dennis said to
Vegeta and ran out of the room with Cloud and
Vincent.

“I’m glad we got out there,” Cloud
sighed.
“Let’s hide in the forest until your friends find us,”
Dennis suggested and ran to the forest.
“Hey guys,” Chunli greeted
as she spotted Cloud and the others.
“Did Vegeta get out?” Rick
asked.
“I’m up here,” Vegeta called out from above. He let go
of Arbok and levitated back on the
ground.
“You two coming with
us?” Cloud asked Dennis and Vincent.
“Well, uh, um...” Vincent
stammered.
“What he means is yes,” Dennis finished with a
smile.
