Chapter 7

It was morning, the sun rose and is brightly shining from the sky.  Chunli was sleeping in a room
in the Highwind.  The sun’s rays entered the room from a window.  She woke up as the sun’s
rays touched her face.  “I wonder what the time is,” she yawned, sitting up and turned to the
clock on the wall.  It was 8:30  She got off the bed and went to the bathroom to wash her face.
After that ordeal, she went to the control room and Vegeta, Arbok, and Cloud were already there.

“Good morning Chunli,” Cloud said with a smile.

“Good morning to you too, Vegeta, Arbok,” Chunli greeted back.  Vegeta just nodded in return.
“So where are we eating for breakfast?  I’m not eating in that restaurant you took us in
yesterday.”

“Yeah, whatever.”

“Which place is our next target?” Vegeta blurted out.

“You know, I was about to tell you that.  Okay, I phoned Interpol last night and got some
information about the Red Ribbon Army.  They don’t know the location of their main base but
they did manage to locate one of their headquarters,” Chunli said.

“Where exactly?” Vegeta asked.

“Do you have a map Cloud?”

“Yeah,” Cloud answered and walked to a control board.  He pushed a button and a holographic
map appeared in front of Chunli.

“Thanks.  Okay, we’re right here and the headquarters is in the Metro forests, that’s 35 miles
south from here,” Chunli said while pointing the locations on the map.  Cloud then turned the map
off.

“Since, we’re going to the Metro Forests, can we go to Metro City?” Cloud asked.

“Look kid, we don’t have time to spare,” Vegeta said coldly.

“No, I want to go too.  Besides, I bet we can find a lot of decent restaurants there,” Chunli added.

“All right!  We’ll go,” Vegeta scorned.

“Metro City, here we come!” Chunli yelled happily and walked over to Cloud.  “He sure gave up
easily on that one,” she whispered to his ear.

“That’s because he has no idea where to go, he needs us,” Cloud snickered, pressing a bunch of
buttons on the control board to start the ship.

“I heard that!” Vegeta growled.

“Calm down, we were just joking,” Chunli giggled.

“Okay everybody here we go,” Cloud announced.

The Highwind’s engines began to roar and the propellers began to spin.  The Highwind slowly
rose from the ground and flew away.

“Let’s see, where should we eat for breakfast?” Chunli asked herself while walking on the city’s
sidewalks with the gang.

At the other side of the street, there was a fat woman with a lot of jewellery on such as earrings,
necklaces, bracelets, and rings, waiting for a bus.  A man with torn clothing then came up to her
and snatched her purse and ran away.

“HEELLLPPP!  Thief!” she wailed at the top of her lungs.  A blonde man dressed in a white suit
with a brief case then appeared out of nowhere and went after the thief.

“Stop!” the man cried.  “All right you asked for it,” he growled to himself and putted on a pair of
red shades.  He glowed in white and then his clothing was different, he was now dressed in a blue
costume.

“That was too easy,” the thief chuckled, looking back at the helpless, fat woman.  “Uuuhhhh...”
he grunted, he has bumped into the man in blue.

“Oh no,” the thief told himself.

“Give me back the purse,” the man in blue commanded.

“Okay,” the thief squeaked and handed the purse to him.  At that very moment, a police car
arrived.

“Oh thank you so much mister,” the fat woman sighed with relief as she got to them.

“No problem ma’am,” the man in blue answered and handed her the purse.  He grabbed the thief’s
shirt’s collar and turned to the police.  “Here you go officer,” he said valiantly and handed the
thief to him.

“Great job,” the police complimented and cuffed the thief’s hands and shoved him in the back seat
of the car.  “Don’t worry, we’ll take good care of this hoodlum,” the police said and went in the
car and drove away.

The man in blue was about to leave but heard a familiar voice calling him, it was Chunli.

“Hey, Captain Commando,” Chunli greeted.

“Why, Chunli, I wasn’t expecting to see you here,” Captain Commando greeted back and then
heard a grumbling noise.

“Oh, sorry.  Those are our stomach’s grumbling,” Chunli laughed embarrassingly.

“Say, why won’t you and your friends come over to my mansion?”

“Sure, I’d love to.  Right guys?”

“Yes,” Vegeta, Arbok, and Cloud nodded in unison.

“Great.”  Captain Commando whistled and a black limousine pulled over to them.

“Whoa, this guy must be rich,” Cloud whispered to Vegeta.

“Who cares?  I’m probably richer,” Vegeta replied.

“Come on in,” Captain Commando ushered.

“Ladies first,” Chunli giggled as she went in the limo and then Vegeta, Arbok, Cloud, and Captain
Commando followed.

Captain Commando knocked on a window which separated their seats from the driver’s.

“Yes sir?” the driver asked.

“Jenkins, take us to the mansion.”

“As you command sir,” Jenkins replied and closed the window.

***

“Are we there yet?” Cloud asked impatiently in the limo while driving through Captain
Commando’s estate.

“Will you keep your mouth shut?” Chunli growled at him.

“We’ve been in this limo for half an hour and we’re not there yet.  I also get sick in vehicles with
small spaces like this one,” Cloud said.

“Don’t worry, we’re almost there,” Captain Commando chuckled.

“We’re here sir,” Jenkins announced.

“Ladies first,” Captain Commando said and opened the door.  Chunli stepped out first and then
the others followed.

“Wow,” Cloud gasped as he got out of the limo.  “Whoa, a big place you got here, it’s like a
castle.”

“Humph, my place is bigger than this,” Vegeta snorted mentally.

“Come on in guys,” Captain Commando called out from the door and ushered them inside.  They
headed straight to a HUGE dining room and then servants out of nowhere began to serve food.
“Help yourselves guys.”  They all sat down and began to eat.

“So Captain Commando...” Chunli started.

“Rick, call me Rick,” Captain Commando interjected.

“Okay, Rick, where are Sho, Hoover, and Jennety?” Chunli finished.

“Oh, they’re somewhere on vacation.  Say, what were you guys doing here anyway?”

“We’re going to the Metro Forests,” Cloud answered.

“What for?”

“Should we tell him?” Cloud asked Chunli.

“Yeah, it’s okay, Rick is someone we can trust,” Chunli answered.

“Okay, we’re going there to find one of the Red Ribbon Army’s headquarters,” Cloud said.

“Why?”

Vegeta, Chunli, and Cloud told their reasons why they were after the Red Ribbon Army.

“I see...” Rick said after hearing everything.

“Okay, we better go now,” Vegeta announced.

“Hey, we can’t just eat and run,” Chunli scolded.

“It’s okay, in fact, I want to come,” Rick said.

“Why?” Cloud asked.

“Whenever there’s evil, I’ll be there, whenever someone is in need, I’ll be there.  Besides, I
haven’t had a good adventure since I beat Scumocide and when Onslaught was beaten.”

“You can come, just shut your trap,” Vegeta growled.

“Don’t worry, you’ll get use to him,” Chunli whispered to Rick.

***

“There it is!” Chunli cried as she found the headquarters after clearing a bunch of tree branches in
her way.

“Okay, buckle up boys and girl, trouble’s coming,” Vegeta chuckled.  They were about to sneak
in but then they heard something behind them.
