Chapter 4

“Who could have done this?” Chunli asked herself.

“There’s an intruder, huh?  This is my chance to get to Bulma and Trunks,” Vegeta thought.
“Come on Arbok,” he told the purple cobra and ran to the elevator at the end of the hall.

“Wait up!  Where are you going?” Chunli asked.

“Well, duh, to find my family and then I’m out of here,” Vegeta answered and Chunli ran to him.

“I’m coming with you,” Chunli said.

“Do whatever you want.”  The elevator opened and the three went inside.

“Where do you think they’re keeping them?”

“I don’t know, let’s start at the highest floor,” Vegeta answered and pushed the 65th floor button.

They reached the 65th floor and saw more blood and dead bodies laying around.

“It sure is dark and creepy in here,” Chunli shuddered.

“You shouldn’t have come then,” Vegeta chuckled.

“Hold it, both of you!” a voice called out from the darkness.

“Who are you?” Chunli asked.  A young man stepped out of the darkness, revealing himself.

“What are you doing here?” he asked.

“Did you kill all of those soldiers?” Vegeta asked him.

“No, I came here to work for the army.”

“How could you?  Do you have any idea what this army has done?” Chunli said.

“I don’t care, as long as they pay me right.”

“Well, well, well, it looks like our specimens have escaped,” a man dressed in a black suit
chuckled from the elevator.

“Reno!” the young man gasped.

“Cloud?  What are you doing here?” Reno asked.

“Humph, you found yourself another army to do their dirty work, huh?” Cloud said.

“Arrr.  You’re not leaving this building alive!” Reno growled and soldiers and three other people
dressed in the same uniforms as Reno’s came out of the elevator.

“We’ll just settle old times later,” Cloud chuckled and took out his sword.  His sword began to
glow in green and he pointed it at a window and fired a green concave projectile at it.  He ran to
the window and jumped out.

“Darn, he got away!” Rude growled.

“Don’t worry, we’ll settle for the other two,” Tseng told Rude.

“Where is my wife and son?” Vegeta asked.

“Don’t worry, they’re in good hands,” Elena chuckled sinisterly.

“What?”

“Don’t you get it?  Your wife and son aren’t here.  Let’s get out of here!” Chunli told Vegeta.

“What do you want then?”

“We don’t know, all we know is that we were hired to kidnap your wife and son so we can lure
you here and take you to the main base,” Elena answered.

“Tsk.  Tsk.  Elena, you never know when to keep your mouth shut,” Tseng scolded.

“Sorry.”

“Apology accepted.  Now, get them!” Tseng ordered.

“How are we going to get out of here?” Chunli asked, with fear in her voice.

“Jump out of the window,” Vegeta answered and ran to the window and jumped out.  Chunli and
Arbok followed.

“Hold on tight,” Vegeta grunted, his right hand was holding Chunli’s while his other was holding
Arbok’s tail.

“Don’t let them get away!” Reno shouted from the window and the soldiers began to fire at them.

“Great!  We’re dead!” Chunli groaned.

“Need a lift?” a voice called out from above, it was Cloud on an airship’s deck (Highwind).  He
dropped them a rope.  “Climb on!”

Vegeta swung Chunli to the rope and she began to climb up while Vegeta carried Arbok to the
deck.

They ran inside the airship and headed to the control room.  “Buckle up everybody!” Cloud
announced as he began to steer the steering wheel.

“Damn!” Reno growled as the Highwind flew away.
