Chapter 1
It was a dark, cold night, the
wind was blowing hard and the sky was filled with dark clouds. Vegeta
was standing on a hill, outside a military base with Arbok.
“They
better not see me or the whole army would be on my tail,” Vegeta thought
while looking at the guards by the main gate. Something squeak
behind Vegeta, he turned around and saw nothing. “What was that
Arbok?” he asked the purple cobra beside him. Vegeta heard
another squeak behind some bushes. He walked over to the bushes
and saw nothing again. “Humph, it’s probably just a squirrel,” he
said and walked back to Arbok. “Let’s go.”
The two slowly
went down the hill as quietly and as stealthy as they could. When
they reached the hill’s foot, they hid behind some bushes and observed
the two soldiers guarding the main gate.
“Okay Arbok, when I
give the signal, fire some poison stings and aim for the neck,”
Vegeta whispered. He turned around and searched for rocks and
found some. “Get ready.” He threw the rocks and made a
noise that caught the soldiers’ attention.
“What the hell was
that?” the soldier asked the other.
“Let’s check it out.” The
two soldiers headed straight at Vegeta and Arbok.
“Now,” Vegeta
signalled.
Arbok quickly got out of the bushes and fired two poison
stings at the soldiers and succeeded on hitting their
necks.
“Aaaaahhh...” the soldiers gasped for air and fell on the
ground.
“Excellent,” Vegeta said and ran to the gate with Arbok
slithering behind him. He opened the gate and ran to the
base. “Great! How am I suppose to get in now?” he asked
himself as he reached the door. He needed an entrance card to get
in.
“Char,” Arbok hissed, his tail pointing at a man’s
hole.
“A sewer, I’m not going down there,” Vegeta said
disgustingly.
“You’ll never infiltrate a military base with that
attitude,” a voice said in the darkness.
“Who are you? Show
yourself!” Vegeta demanded, getting to a fighting stance.
“Calm
down. The sewer is your only way in if you don’t have an entrance
card,” the voice said.
“Who the hell are you?” Vegeta demanded
again but there was no reply.
“Charbocka,” Arbok hissed, pointing
at the hole again.
“Fine, we’ll go down the sewer,” he gave
in. Vegeta bent down and lifted the man’s hole and threw it
away. “You jump first,” he told Arbok and he dove in the hole.
“I should have brought a gas mask,” Vegeta said and jumped in the
hole.
“What the?” Vegeta asked himself, the whole sewer was
lighted. “What kind of sewer would have lights that are as bright
as these? It doesn’t smell either.”
Vegeta began to walk with
Arbok slithering beside him. The path he was walking on then
split into three. “Which one should I take?” he asked
himself. “Huh?” he gasped as he felt a hand on his
shoulder.
